Screen /dev/tty.usbserial-XXX 9600 where XXX is the actual identifier. Both LEDs flash simultaneously for every keystroke (as expected), but nothing appears on my screen, expect the word I type.Īll in all I think it is a problem with the screen setup. I also think the baudrate doesn't matter in this case (to be sure i changed it with no effect on the outcome). I connected the sticks RX to the sticks TX to check if there might be a problem with my setup and I think everything I type should appear immediately on my screen again. But although I implemented a basic print function, nothing appears on my screen. And also the other LED flashes about every other second, thats what I expected, because my program has a about 2 seconds delay function inside the infinite loop. When i type in the screen, the LED flashes for every keystroke. My FTDI stick has inbuilt LEDs for TX and RX. But somehow the characters im sending do not appear on my serial terminal (im using screen serial emulator). I just set up my atmega168pa chip for USART communication.
